I don't blame you. I wouldn't have taken her either. I mean, if they are gonna do it, then they are gonna do it but it doesn't mean that you have to "help" them, so to speak. Thing is, with my big mouth, if it had been one of my friends, after she asked she would have had to listen to one of my sermons about abortion. LOL.
My aunt gave me something years ago and I somehow lost it. It was a necklace and the pendant on it was SO TINY!! The pendant was a tiny pair of perfectly formed feet. They were the actual size feet of a six week old "fetus". Now how can they say that's not a human being?? A baby has a heartbeat 15 days after conception. I could post alot of facts on here but they are way too graphic and I don't want to gross anyone out lol!! John and I belonged to the Pro Life Activist League of Boise and I had alot of books and pamplets with info, etc. No, we didn't go picketing abortion clinics or any of that weird stuff that you read about lol. There was a guy in the league that stood out in front of Planned Parenthood and handed out his little pamplets. That was totally his choice. Actually, I have never seen anyone more dedicated than him. It didn't matter if it was snowing...he was out there.

Well......I worked in a hospital lab, and I saw a fetus - it was 6-8 weeks. There was some medical reason for the mother losing it. They had it in a li'l jar, and you could tell exactly what it was. You could kinda see through it, and you could see the li'l spine, and the eyes looked like li'l black pencil dots - there were tiny protrusions where the arms/hands and legs/feet were forming. I tell ya - after seeing that, I never thought of one as just a "thing" - no matter how early it was in a pregnancy.

I saw a lot of things in that lab that were strange too, but I won't go into all that.....LOL! But that li'l baby's been burned in my memory for a long time! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Looks like it won't be long before we know (maybe) if we're fixin' to jump in the big middle of Iraq's shit! If Saddam won't honor that resolution willingly, looks like we'll be makin' him honor it by force.... [img]eek.gif[/img]

It was nice that all the countries in the Security Council voted to approve the resolution. Now, we'll see how it goes when it comes to enforcing it.

I'll be surprised if Saddam doesn't try to play his li'l games again - but I don't think Bush will put up with it. I'm ready for 'em to go ahead and deal with Iraq once and for all and get it over with!

What do ya'll think about the way the elections went - I was raised in a strictly Democratic home.......LOL! But I was fed up with the Democrats makin' it impossible for 'em to get anything done. [img]frown.gif[/img] They've gotten allllll screwed up, and need to get their act together. At least now they can probably make some progress on things that need to be taken care of. I'm thinkin' that Bush is almost sure to be re-elected in 2004, and while he's in office I'd just as soon see the Republicans outnumbering the Democrats so things can get done and we can move on. Hell, I dunno what I am now - I'm thoroughly pissed at the Democrats, but I can't say I'm a Republican either? Ohhhhhhhh woe is me.......hehehe! [img]confused.gif[/img]

Well, I voted totally Republican and was very happy with the outcome. I'm like you, LL. I don't like the way that the Democrats are doing things. Just ONE of the things is that the Democrats are mainly pro choice. That's one thing that really, really IRKS the hell out of me is abortion. I know some of you are pro choice but I'm pro life because IMO, abortion is nothing more than a legal form of MURDER!! The pro choicers scream, "my body, my choice!!" What about that baby that has no choice!!! Ok, I'm not even gonna get started on that cause it'll just piss me off.

My friend wanted to go to Houston, 'cause there are so many medical centers, etc. there - and private docs too.....some of the best - and I honestly don't know if she could have gotten someone here to do it. We're only about 45 miles east of Houston, so it's not much of a drive. And I knew she could get someone else to take her.

She did get the abortion - and later on they had the cute li'l baby boy. I don't know if she felt guilty or not, we never discussed it after her abortion. We stayed good friends though. I couldn't turn against her because we felt different about the abortion thing - I had to respect her decision - it was her life. I just didn't feel right about takin' part in it. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I can understand how you feel about not wanting a baby now. But at least you're being responsible and taking the pills.....LOL! You're doin' what you can to prevent it from happening in the first place. But if you did get pregnant anyway, then I'd have to respect your decision too, whether I agreed with it or not [img]smile.gif[/img] I know everyone has to do what's right for them, and I don't try to force my opinion on anyone.

You're sooooo right about it being a never ending debate......LOL! I don't think that's a subject that everyone will ever agree on.

Yup, if my pills and the condoms I use would fail, then I'd just say fuck me, if my luck is that bad I'll be a hazard to any baby... LOL!

I guess that girl must sometimes think what that first baby would have looked like, and would he/she grow to be lively or calm and all that.. But shouldn't ever look back and regret because you can't change it.

I've been busy being out of this room. My room in campus, room number 124, a room without a TV or a kitchen. Not too nice to just sit here [img]smile.gif[/img] But I'm catching up now, doing my nails, while the guys are playing snooker and the girls are drinking again. Personally, I think Dubya is a brain-deficient war monger. Attacking Iraq is just going to give the militant Islamic suicide-terrorists another excuse to murder innocent Americans and whoever else is in the way. Sadaam Hussein, if he HAS "weapons of mass destruction" isn't stupid enough to use them against US, because he knows what kind of retaliation there would be. Sadaam hates the Islamic right-wingers, and they hate him. Maybe he'll use those "W's.O.M.D." against THEM!
I'm with you, though, all the way, on the baby murdering issue.

Awww..

I'm not a mommy or anything so I might feel different whenif I am someday lol..
But now if I got pregnant I would HAVE to abort. Career orientated family I don't want to be shamed lol and I want the career and edu and I never stay still anyway.. which I why I take pills! Never heard about people taking abortion as a form of birth control.
LL why did she want to go all the way to Houston to do the abortion? Is it not done where you live? And that cute baby boy, is it the one they were going to abort? Or did they abort and just haveo ne later? If they aborted that baby and later had one I bet they feel a bit guilty....
But I would have taken them to Houston! I bet the choice of abortion is never easy and not something anyone would ever WANT to do, I hope nobody takes it lightly or anything.
But I don't want to get in that conversation, it is just a never ending debate lol forums
